I was going to start this post off very formal, something like: “hello everyone, my name is Sarah” LAME. It’s Christmas, in fact, we have 8 days until Christmas (WE ARE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS). So let me start this off right….
MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FLITHY ANIMALS!!
My name is Sarah Ripley and I’ll be your guest today.
<——— it me.
First of all, I absolutely adore Ashley and this blog and I am completely honour to be apart of her blogmas this year.
I decided that I’m going to talk about something that I am very passionate about, and that is music. Music is the universal language. Music brings people together, and coincidentally that’s how I met Ashley. I love that there’s a song for pretty much anything. I have a playlist for every mood… you name it, I got it. In the spirit of getting festive, I’m going to name my Christmas playlist MUST HAVES.
Without further ado…
HERE ARE MY TOP 7 MUST HAVE CHRISTMAS SONGS:
Sleigh Ride – Pentatonix
This song is an absolute jam. You can’t listen to this song without moving your body to it. Its so fun and it’s perfect to brighten up a cold, winter night.
Drummer Boy – Justin Bieber
Im a 23 year old woman, and let me tell you, this song will ignite your inner rapper. Impress your friends by knowing all the words.
Let It Be Christmas – Alan Jackson
Since I was a little girl, this has been my moms favourite Christmas song, and she kind of passed that love onto me. It reminds us that Christmas is much more than presents and I absolutely love that.
That Time of Year – Cast of Frozen
I HAD to add this song, it’s so adorable! Last year, they played a 30 minute Frozen Christmas special before the movie Coco and this song was apart of it. It’s just a goofy and extremely catchy Christmas tune. Trust me, just listen to it.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Sam Smith
Let’s slow it down a bit, this is an absolutely beautiful song. We all know Sam’s voice, it’s so powerful and this song is a Christmas classic. It gives me chills EVERYTHING.
Hoping For Snow – The Vamps
A completely underrated song. An original song by The Vamps and it tells a very cute story. I have also loved The Vamps for their storytelling and they don’t disappoint.
Shake Up Christmas – Train
I saved the absolute best for last. Ever since the Coca Cola commercial back in…. 2010? I have been obsessed with this song. It’s the first song I listen to every year to signify the start of the Christmas season. It tells a great story and never fails to make me smile.
These are just a few of the many amazing Christmas songs. You can find these and many more on my Spotify playlist:
Thank you so much for checking out this blog post and a huge thanks to Ashley for asking me to be apart of her blog. I am currently in the process of creating my own blog because of lots of encouragement from Ashley.
Merry Christmas everyone!
PS: The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
