My Christmas Wishlist 2018

Every year I am asked weeks in advance for my Christmas wish list as my mum likes to begin the holiday shopping early. I always try my best to really think about what it is that I’d like and what it is that I could really get a great use out of. Here is what I came up with for Christmas 2018.

Any Ed Sheeran Album on Vinyl

I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without having Ed Sheeran on vinyl. My collection is always growing and this year I will be making a point to collect all of his albums, so I figure why not ask for one during the holidays?

Trees Planted

The holidays are also a time to give back so this year I have asked for trees to be planted in my name using the organization onetreeplanted. If you’re not currently aware of our ghastly environmental issues then I would definitely suggest you look into it and see what you can do to help. This is a great way to do just that and can also be a wonderful gift. Not to mention they also have various places where your trees can be planted so you can personalize it more towards the person you’re gifting them to. For example, a big part of who I am is that I am Canadian so I would love to have trees planted in Canada. If interested you can check them out here.

Every year I ask for a new notebook to write down all of my ideas, lists, thoughts, etc and this year is no different. As a blogger and overall writer my brain is always on the go from thought to thought and I love having a notebook around so I can refer back to those ideas when I need them.

Calligraphy Pen

Calligraphy-Pen.jpgI am not sure if you’ve ever looked at notebook or journaling pictures on Instagram but it’s definitely a pleasure of mine. Something that is prominent is these is the beautiful skill of calligraphy. It’s an older type of skill but a skill nonetheless and it’s something I really want to try. So my old soul asked for a calligraphy pen I could call my own.

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings By Maya Angelou

After watching the breathtaking documentary on Maya Angelou I instantly felt the need to know more. Her first autobiography I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, felt like the perfect place to continue my desire to learn from her experiences. I’m only disappointed I didn’t know about her influential work and mesmerizing words before.

Instead of asking for money in my countries currency, I decided it would be best to ask for Euros as I am heading to Germany this summer to visit my good friend, Johanna. Saving for a trip sooner rather than later is always better and will help to eliminate stress. The photo’s below are of Germany, provided by Johanna herself for this blog post and they make me ten times more excited to see her beautiful country.

As you can see I didn’t ask for a lot this year because I already have everything I need. It sounds rather cliche but it’s true. I’m just happy to be home spending the holidays with my friends and family.

Stay cozy,

Ashley Legacy

P.s. I also want to wish a very happy 25th anniversary to my incredible parents who constantly show me what real love is. Thank you both for all of your support and the home you have built for us all.
